Every year in Charlottesville Virginia the Shelter for Help in Emergency (SHE) host a designer showcase house as a fundraiser for their fantastic cause.  A different extremely talented local designer designs each room of the house.  In 2015 I was able to co-design the U-fab Master Bedroom and bath along with the fabulously talented William Chambers.

Using the beautiful mountain views and the modernized French country architecture of the house as our inspiration we decided on a collected country chic feel. Using a soft wall color as our base to contrast the strong wood beams in the ceiling, but blend with the beautiful mountain sky view.  Rich tones of red and deep turquoise were offset with a light and whimsical paisley pattern on the windows.  The bay window seating area was flanked with comfortable swivel chairs so that the view could be fully appreciated.

All fixtures and finished in the master bath were chosen by the homeowner prior to the start of the project.  We again tried to give a collected feel with accessories from a local store Patina Antiques.  Using an amazing painting by the talented Kathy Pantele as our focal point we transitioned off the master using the soft blue and teal tones to compliment the granite counters and dark wood cabinets.
